Dear Colleagues,
It is a pleasure to bring you this update from the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.
As you know, the WFNS will hold its World Congress in Boston, Massachusetts August 30-Sept 4, 2009. Some important information includes::
A travel scholarship which provides a stipend of $1500 for travel to the World Congress Meeting for 150 young neurosurgeons from developing countries by been established by the AANS; please see applications on www.wfns.org and www.aans.org
Expanded Education Committee section, with future course listings
An endoscopy section has been formed, under the direction of Yoko Kato, MD
A Spine Committee portion of the www.wfns.org website has been launched
Updated WFNS Foundation section, with details about fellowships and donations of neurosurgical equipment
Sign up for colleagues who wish to be included in these messages is now easily available on the Home Page of www.wfns.org
As always, individual members are invited to contribute with photos, book reviews, announcements or honors awarded and Committee Chairman are encouraged to send content for their respective committee's web pages.
We are eager for the WFNS newsletter to reach as many of the neurosurgeons around the world as possible.
