The program of the XXVII Brazilian Congress of Neurosurgery was elaborated to privilege neurosurgeons that yet expend your time in the operative room (“The Neurosurgery Revisited”).

The pre-congress courses aim to offer neurosurgeons systematic upgrade in most areas of neurosurgery.

In the Breakfast Seminars, experts will present your refined techniques in the neurosurgical treatment. The Plenary Sessions will be dedicated to the neurosurgical treatment, outstanding the microneurosurgical anatomy (part of 4th International Symposium of Microneurosurgical Anatomy).

In the afternoon, the scientific sessions will be dedicated to controversial aspects in the different areas of neurosurgery, including education and socioecomic neurosurgical activities. At the end of the afternoon, sessions of short-conferences and videos will allow the Brazilian neurosurgeons show their experiences and the young neurosurgeons to exercise the art of oral presentation of scientific papers.

For closing the meeting, on Thursday (18/09/08), we will host the III Meeting of the World Academy of Neurosurgery, where, some of the most controversial neurosurgical topics will be debated by worldwide known experts.

At the end of each scientific session there will be time for discussion with participation of the audience. A rigid control of the duration of presentations is being planned for guarantee the time for discussion and for finishing the sessions on time.
